Average Litter WEIGHT??? - Page 1

From birth to about 5 weeks, is there an 'average' guide to the weekly weight of GSD puppies? 

I would like to learn what might be considered small, medium or large at this stage of the puppy's life.

Equally, if a puppy at two or three weeks weighs the lightest, in your experience does this mean that particular puppy will REMAIN the smallest, or can the lighter weights catch up or even over-take?

Could I now try and clarify from a Breeder whether a lighter weight Puppy REMAINS the lightest weight of the litter?

Hi vixen,

this little pup surprised me, she was the smallest from a litter of 12,
and she ended up being bigger than her brother that I kept!

Here she is as a pup: I wondered if she would ever get big,I think she's 5 weeks in puppy pic.

and then all grown up!

Hello Mirasmom,  Oh, she is sweet, and grown into a lovely adult.  And how interesting that she was the smallest and yet did not remain the smallest!
