If you purchase a product that claims to build up testerone levels in Canines and it doesn't contain Tribulus, then you are wasting your time and money.  Breeders have been using Trib for years to get another litter out of Older Studs. Recently it has been found that Trib will actually bring a female into heat.  You can go many different routes to purchase Trib. If you want to spend a fortune on a Canine product, then "Sperm Up" is available from this company http://nationalcaninecorp.com/products.asp

You can purchase Tribulus at any Health Food Store and if you go to Froogle and enter Tribulus, you can choose from any number of products. In animals, tribulus may stimulate "mounting" behavior. Some European studies suggest that tribulus extract can increase testosterone levels 30-50% above baseline levels – but still well within the normal range. Unfortunately, however, these same studies also suggest a similar increase in estradiol levels. This isnt good news for a male body builder. It is however good news for one needing to bring a bitch into heat.

Estradiol that is produced by the growing follicle triggers, via a positive feedback system, the hypothalamic-pituitary events that lead to the luteinizing hormone surge, inducing ovulation.

I tried this on my little bitch. She hadnt been in season for over a year. I went to E Bay and bid a penny on this product and won. When it arrived I mixed daily with yogurt, and in 3 weeks of supplementing my bitch came in.

I mixed the powder with Yogurt. It was bitter as all get out, but my girl licked the bowl clean every time.

If you are using Trib on a male, I would stack it with Zinc..................Zinc  is what the male animal's body needs to produce sperm and utilize testosterone. I buy the Wal-Mart Zinc 50mg. I take it as well as give it to my old males.  I guarantee that it works. I can actually feel the difference if I miss my daily dose.

Longjack(Tongkat Ali), Arginine, which is a Vasodilator, and Saw Palmetto for prostrate and urinary health in males, also make a great stack to go along with the Trib.

Actually, while Tribulus may act as a male aphrodesiac (will increase libido), by increasing the levels of testosterone, it may cause decreased sperm count (infertility).

That "Sperm Up" canine product is god-awful expensive!

There ar a couple of good products out there for human males that have no affect on hormone levels:

Fertil Male: http://www.lanelabs.com/products.asp?productID=FertilMale

FertilAid: http://fertilaid.com/l-carnitine.asp

I have used Fertil Male on my studs during lengthy periods of 3 digit weather (known to lower sperm count/quality). The ingedients are Lepidium meyenii g. (root) and HAI™ Amino Acid Extract (from Sea Algae) .

This is printed on the Fertil Male bottle:

Fertil Male™ is a dietary supplement specifically developed to support male fertility.

Fertil Male is clinically shown to promote sperm count, sperm motility (movement) and semen production without changing hormone levels*.

Take one capsule three times daily with meals. In one human research study, benefits were noted in four months.

Fertil Male has LMG™, a clinical-quality Peruvian root infused with HAI™ (Heated Algal Ingredient). HAI is a patented amino acid complex from Japanese seaweed that dramatically increases absorption. Fertil Male does not contain wheat, sugar, yeast, salt, soy, dairy, fish, or preservatives, artificial colors or flavors.
Amount per Serving % Daily Value
Serving Size: 1 Capsule Lepidium meyenii g. (root) 500mg *
HAI Amino Acid Extract (from Sea Algae) 1.2mg*

by Do right and fear no one on 26 October 2007 - 01:10

Yes, a live in maid, about 25, 110 lbs., and never gets those "all of a sudden headaches" from out of nowhere.

Okay which one of you losers outbid me on the tribulus?

Not me

Actually, you may buy the stuff directly from http://www.modernjungle.com/store/ for $7.99/oz or $54/lb with free shipping! Ask for Tom and tell him that I sent you. You may charge using a normal credit card without risking being caught in a PayPal scam with eBay.

A few years ago (when I knew little about searching the internet), I had a male dog who became functionally sterile (several bitches had missed) according to my repro vet (who had no hope for helping him).

Independently, I began reading up on various products to enhance the reproductive system of the human male: tribulus, zinc, saw palmetto, vitamin E, L-arginine, L-carnitine and as well as several remedies that were suggested by Marina Zacharias at www.naturalrearing.com

Within a short time, I restored this male's fertility and enabled him to produce some of his most important litters!

My repro vet could not believe my success. When I asked if we should do another semen analysis, the vet replied, "why bother"!
