Yette turned 10 years old today. The battery on my camera died just as we were getting ready to leave for our outing so no pics of that... We went up to our property about 25 miles west of where we live. We saw some wild turkey crossing the road just before our driveway. The dogs love it up there and Yette and Xtra enjoyed the pond (Ivan could do w/o water) and a walk around the 40 acres. For dinner ...ehem...steak, a hot dog ,instant garlic potatoes, and green beans were on the menu. Did I mention I barbqued? For desert.... Pepridge Farm coconut cake and Tillamook Huckleberry ice cream (mostly vanilla with just a swirl of berry)! Here are the crew with cake and ice cream (I had to hold back Xtra dog from wanting everyone elses, she is a piggie) and a family portrait of the 3 after. Thanks guys, wasn't sure if ya all would think I am nutso! They always get something special to eat on their birthday but age 10 is really special to me.

allaboutthedawgs there is just a little coconut on the frosting, the cake is just white. It is so light and fluffy, melts in your mouth, you'd love it!
mirasmom, does Yette get the little dog for the chew toy or balloon LOL! Xtra was the "X" litter, hard one to think of a name. I liked it better than any other I came across! Thanks for the compliment. Xtra always wants extra, food drive up the kazoo, she would even try to take Yettes if I didn't get in the way of her.Yette does look good, a bit to fat but in good shape except for a bad elbow 
! I think if it weren't for that she could go all day. She still rules the roost around here though!

Happy Birthday, Yette!!! Awwww...those were great photos! The birthday girl looked awesome as did Xtra and Ivan. What better way to spend the day?!?!
