Phone rings. " Hello" , Hi my name is Ed. I understand you have GSD's. me " Yes I do," Ed, I have 3 females that are 3 years old and have not been bred yet. I am looking for a male. Me, My male is not titled yet and I wont have OFA done until next month. Ed, Thats ok, I dont have a problem with that. Me, What exactly are you looking for? Ed, Well I would like a young dog, even a puppy, for my girls. How much is your stud fee. Me, My stud fee would be $300.00 providing the females are acceptable, current vacc, brucellosis etc. Ed, Thats pretty expensive, only 1 of my girls has papers, I am not really interested in papers or pedigrees, most people around here just want a full blood GSD and dont care about papers I dont really want a dog with papers, thats just a headache. Me, I am sorry, I cannot help you, You are the type of BYB that prpgates GSD's genetic problems and give them a bad name. CLICK
OMG I could not believe this conversation. Please tell me this is not the norm, thats insane.

Believe it or not, more common than you would think, and not just about stud dogs. I get people all of the time who want me to come down on my price of a puppy if I sell the puppy without papers. Like that changes what the dog actually is and how much time I have spent trying to produce a nice litter of quality puppies!

Good for you for hanging up on him....

Did you get another male? I thought we had determined you male was not stable, definately not breed worthy, and you were trying to find it another home. Now you are putting a stud fee on him? Did I miss something?

No I have not gotten another male. I have no intention of breeding Tino but I do have a litter of puppies that need homes. I was trying to see where this guy was going. He would not have gotten anything I have here after talking with him. And I do take exception to this statement "I thought we had determined you male was not stable, definately not breed worthy, and you were trying to find it another home."
Nobody here Determined anything. I was given opinions and advice. What I choose to do with that advice is my business. Yes I am speaking with someone that would give Tino a good home. There is a matter of timing tho. For now, Tino is doing great. Outside during the day and in the house at night. He sleeps in his crate. I had to bring him in, he was out there barking all night and my neighbors threatened to call the police the next time he woke them up at 2 am. He wasnt nuisance barking, There is a coon that has a litter in a tree that is right next to the fence. Apparently he doesnt like coons lol Not to mention the myrid of alley cats that run around here.

How about when they call and say that they have a stud dog and could they breed him to one of your females. No he is not titled, no I have no idea on his hips but he is such a great dog...........

Ok take offense all you want. I have watched your threads. I was very sympathetic with your "I need advice" thread. I have tried to give you good advice and watched others do the same. You are the pot calling the kettle black. You remind me very much of someone that used to post regularly on this board.

What is it about you and your breeding that is any better than what this guy is supposedly doing? Who are you to breed your untitled, no x-ray, nerve bag then use this person as an example of a BYB. So I guess I have one question for you.......
Is Tino neutered yet?

Everybody is titled to their own opinion, Its up to you wheter or not you agree or disagree. Last time I checked this was a free website. What one sees right another might see wrong. Oh well get over it and roll with the punches. Me personally the dog should be titled and at lease A3 if not better hips, Maybe even a KKL1 or KKL2. Once again thats just my opinion. You people on these threads need to stop looking for a reason to start a bashing contest and use this site for the better of the breed.

GARD, the difference between them and me, I didnt know any better when I bred up Xena, I had no idea there was such a thing as Shutzhund, titling or OFA. I had a papered dog and intended to breed her. I have since learned the difference and have changed my opinions. If it had not been for this board I would still be ignorant.
