They are not completely black though, they have red/brown markings on their legs:

Hey, Kennel Von Lotta: just a quick question please,
What are you using for collars for your puppies? Do you use ribbons or small collars and keep "upping" as they grow? Do you buy several small adjustable collars or just tie ribbons? What do most do to differentiat the pups? Just want to know in case I ever breed. Thanks.

Sables are basically the REVERSE of Blk and Tan pigmentation duing puppyhood.... Black will later have Tan markings on the head and legs (except for the solid blacks of course) and Sable pups from being Tan or light grey will turn into dark (depending on how dark the parentage is) and will almost be covered by Black overlay hair when fully grown...
Have a nice day...

How'd you get them all to stay still long enough to take that picture? That seems like a minor miracle to me. I can't even keep ONE still!

At the time the pic was about to be taken most of them were asleep by the door(behind them). The rest of the pups were also asleep at a diff spot. I picked up the pups that were asleep and brought them over the the rest of the pups sleeping. As soon as all the pups were in one spot I made a small nosie and they all woke up and the pic was taken.
