I don't know where this was taken but our robbers don't come in wearing sleeves!
But shows what the dog will do so it gets the point acrossed aspecialy if you are targeting the business owners

Good video but definitely a set up. When I was young I held several jobs at "open all night" type of places that were robbed on a pretty regular basis. On my shifts though, my Chinook was always with me and no one so much as acted suspiciously. Just the presence of a big mean looking dog was enough to scare the bejeesus out of the bad guys.

PSP - now more and more night shift operators are carring guns and using them. I think if enough get shot it will send out the word.
But yes IF I was to have a job like that I would want my dog -Can not have a dog then a gun and hell with shotting for the leg one less thug in the world taking up good air

I care too much about my dogs and have too much time invested to put their lives in harms way like that.
IF YOU NEED PROTECTION BUY A GUN.

This is one of our training videos and i can assure you there is no sleeve watch the video closely what you do see is a rip in the jacket in the one video, we worked this bitch with a gauntlet, sweatshirt some duct tape and a carhardt jacket to assure no puncture wounds
i understand all your post and we train here to be as realistic as possible, this was an unannounced scenario, yes he knows me and the dog knows me. but the stress level is up; like pop quiz day and if he cant handle the tool in this situation then the tool is no good. you have to remember you and your dog are a TEAM not one out for themselves.most of our training exceeds that of govmnt training in most cases. this dog is worked with people places and things surrounding are always changing noises kids elderly light out dark out with pepper spray and so on she is in my opinion less dangerous to have around then a cocker spaniel or some mutt with zero to minimal training. There is less chance of her failing then one of those others. She Has high obedience with gives extra controllability and we condition her to threat and non threat as well, teaching in what situations it is okay to engage and when it is not.there is nothing out there that is 100% but in the are day and time we live in i rather fire this weapon with a recall and the impact to also kill then a 9mm thats full intent is to incapacitate "kill" not only the intended target but maybe even the innocent. this is a lot less likely with a well trained K-9'
the whole point of having a dog in these situations is to "a" to deter a situation or "b" to by your time if things do go south in a heated situation.
again if the crime never takes place because you now have a show of force " a nice trained K-9 everybody gets a break that day including the bad guy
