When I roam around on certain websites, I often question the credibility that some people put into choosing a name for their kennels. Some are lame but some are just plan out WEIRD!
I just stumpled onto a website from another clasified website. I've got to say that this kennel " Wiggle Butt Acres" has got to be the most bizarre and weridest kennel name that I've ever stumple a pond of! As a consumer in the dog world... I cant get myself into taking this person seriously as a breeder for lack of effort of choosing a name. Why are people so lazy and not take the time to think and research their kennel names? why rush?!?!?
I wont mention any names, however I did caught somebody using a well known west german showline kennel name in Germany. Fortunately The person did change the name and admitted that (it) didn't know that the kennel was famous in Germany.

Too cute Britt! "stumple a pond of". Silly....how about stumble UPON? Stumbling a pond could only ever happen at Wiggle Butt Acres! Right?! LOL

I wouldn't worry to much about the names, it sounds cute to me, like maybe when they started the kennel they let their children come up with the name as a way of letting them be involved (it is mentioned the their young daughter helps raise the puppies) and that little girl is probably very proud of the name she choose, or maybe it was the name or nickname of the first dog they own in the kennel, who knows? usually a "weird" or "cute" name has a nice, personal story behind it. (my little boy once named a dog dummy..lol...it may sound mean to others but it was in a very sweet way, the puppy was just so clumsy) he also named one puppet....his explaination was that it was a pup and a pet..put it together and you get puppet..i thought it was very creative for a five year old..

"Silver" is fairly common when you bred a white to a sable. I think the dog in the picture is very pretty.

The problem I have with gsds that look like the silver one here is that even the muzzle is not black.....and to me, that makes it look more like a siberian husky than a gsd.

gsdfanatic- i thought the same thing, or atleast that it would be "mixed" with husky, but i really would'nt mind cause the dog/color so pretty! I hope to one day own a husky myself..on my list of dream dogs : )

I have not been to the site, but the name makes me think of puppies that wiggle the whole back end in pure joy. Names can mean something special to the people who may indeed have given a great deal of thought to the choice.
Now how bad will they feel if they ever come to this site and meet with ridicule before they ever post a thing? As a consumer in the dog world you have a choice not to use a service. I just don't think that you are entitled to mock something that you know nothing about. For a real laugh have google translate some German kennel names.

Lorri: You need to go to the site and look at this "champion" .:http://www.wigglebuttacres.com/silvershepherd.html
Does anyone know what organization this dog would be considered a conformation champion? I don't think the dog looks like a pure GSD either.
