what's a "tricolored" gsd?

AQHA and APHA cow horses they have are well known for large head cattle farmers, very well trained. I can only assume the GSD takes the place of a  good Cattle Dogs at their farm. I don't know them personally, but I've been on a few of their horses that traveled to PA, they are branded and well known. Hope this helps.

Hi Eagle...I may have missed it but I didn't read anywhere that they are using the GSD in place of cattle dogs. I should have been more specific in what I wanted opinions on...sorry. I have never heard of a tri-colored shepherd before. I also didn't know that black gsd's had a distinct variation from blk/tan gsd's in that they have retained a more traditional conformation & are often larger than a blk/tan.. as per what the website says. They also have a much straighter back?

On the puppy care info page they recommend Ralston Purina large dog & puppy chow formulas. Is this a good brand of dog food? Is it the same as regular Purina? If so I guess it would not be a dog food that I would recommend. They also say digestive upset in puppies is normal. Huh? It also says not to feed raw meat. Again...Huh? They also send out the pups with a 7 way vaccine & a vaccine for lyme disease w/ a recommendation of having a rabies done at 12 months old. Maybe they have to have all those vaccines there...I don't know.

One of the pictures of the pups shows them being raised in an igloo dog house. I guess I have never seen one big enough to accomodate mom & what 7-10 pups? I aslo didn't see any hip or elbow ratings on the dogs. IMO I would move on & continue my search.

The horses otoh...well I liked Mojo, Dusty, & Moonshine. They are on their sold page.  I really like Arabians myself. Very much people horses. I had one & have also had paints & qh...if I ever get another it will be an Arabian.

NOTE:  THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION~

I have had a puppy from this kennel and it was very anti social and did not want to bond with me!  I did not like this puppy and found it to be a bit doggy.  Did not want to train......very independant and no food motivation.

If you would like to know further information about this kennel you can feel free to contact me via private email.  I have been to their home so I know the environment.  I don't think she meant tri-color like we are thinking!  They are probably bi-colored puppies with maybe a whit patch on their chest....but probably just bi-colored puppies
