I have lived in Albuquerque for a year now and take my German Shepherd to the Petsmart Petshotel whenever I have to go out of town. They of course require that you have current shots from a vet. He is 9 years old, and I have never been a fan of giving a dog shots every year so my question is this: Does anyone on this board know of someone in the Albuquerque area that takes care of German Shepherds? I do not know anyone nice enough to watch him for me, he is an indoor dog, so I can't just leave him outside. I am just worried about having to give him yearly shots in order to use the Petsmart facitlities. Or do you guys recommend that I not worry about the shots and keep using Petsmart?? I wish I had family or something close by to take care of him. Thanks for your input.

I would find someone else or some where else...Im not a fan of leaving anything with a multimarketing co. that has money first and my dogs welfare second.

melgsd,
I am also in Albuquerque, let me ask my trainer where she takes her dogs.
Where do you work and train your dog?

If absolutely necessary, we use a dog sitting service (they also do houses), and have never had any problems! They come to YOUR house to take care of your animals. :) They are in Albuquerque as well. You can email me for more information. :)
