Hi my name is Adrian, im not necessarly new too the board but been real busy ever since i registered.

well on to my point. I have two german shepherds and would really like to start their career in Schutzhund but i dont know any good places to send them to get trained. I'm from the very tip of Texas, Brownsville to be exact, and there isnt any club of that sort around here.

But my sister does live in Austin and I've visited a place called Triple Crown Academy, and had my male evaluated there and the trainer said he'd be excellent for the sport but that was months ago.

Question: Do you know of any places where they train for schutzhund that are actually credible and have a good reputation close to or around the Austin area or even Corpus or houston.

I'm greatful for any help.

I know Corpus has the Coastal Bend schutzhund Club but not sure how active they are. They actually operate out of Mathis. Next gsd pup I get I plan to title myself.

I would like to title and even train them myself but really have no experience

i mean i taught them the basics... which pretty much anyone can do if they read a litte.

but the tracking is a bit harder for me.

and i do have a bite sleeve...and they do bite on it.

but im clueless when it comes to teaching them how to search the blinds and climb up on high surfaces.

They retreive extremely well.

incredible drives. but ya.

Your dogs look nice and have good pedigrees.  I have emailed the cbsc but not heard back from them yet. Hope they are still active.

I have experience in trailing and air scenting plus done alot of agility. Have helped others in bite work and been a helper but never competed in sport.

I was going to mention that i have seen dogs from the Dornberg kennel and they are very  nice working dogs.

Thanks.
 for your help.

and i actually didnt have the pleasure to meet any of the other Dornburg dogs. I really wanted to see Dundee in action but he passed a while ago.

But i did get to meet achilles father. He's actually more of a dark sable now. He's a beast and works great.

Do you a GSD at the moment?

I have one 8 year old female now named Bekka. She was trained in trailing, air scenting and agility plus basic obedience. I did do bite work with her at 6 years of age and she ate it up. Here are a few pics of  dogs i have had...
