Can someone please point me to a link or provide me with information for schutzhund regulation size and type of tracking articles?  Not looking to buy to to make myself.

Thanks

According to the USA rule book, The size may not exceed 4 inch long by 1.5 inch wide and 1/2 inch thick. Personally, I make mine 4 inch by 1 inch by 1/4 inch.

Articles are pieces of leather, wood, and/or  plastic.

Or as the rule book states,

Materials,  Any reasonable material may be used as articles on the track, such as: leather, vinyl, fabric or wood. I have seen leather, wood and carpet used.

cut up your kids toys   they are made up of plastic with fur , synthetic hair, leather, and cloth that has been backed with many things...old leather gloves, cut to size and your kids coats,   that are worn out,,,use the thick parts., carpet, vynl linnoleum, many things to make from scraps aroung the homefront....its fun....

The best thing to do is train with everything you can imagine.  Condoms, Tampons, matches, lighter, keys,  sunglasses, etc.  If the dog sees more than the usual articles, this will have already been worked out before a trial.  I have seen a piece of plastic as an article that was about the size of a third of a  pen, only a tad wider.  If you have kids, you have unlimited articles.
