Hello all.

I know the food issue has been beat to death and I'm not writing to argue which food is best.  Just curious if anyone has had issues with their dogs not wanting to eat the food as of late?

Reason I ask is that my two girls have pretty much stopped eating it the last three days.  Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this.

Thank you in advance.

Same problem here.  I experimented with Royal Canin for a few weeks.  He liked it the first day, and then he gradually ate less and less.  He became sluggish and his coat started to take a crap.   He's back on a partial raw/nutro natural diet.  his appetite returned, along with his energy level and shiny coat.

Same thing here but it's on and off and maybe weather related. I found that when I switched to R.C. my dogs couldn't eat enough, they always wanted more but over time they seemed to slow down and adjust. In the beginning maybe they were depleted even though I wouldn't have know by looking at them. Mine are all on it now, for now at least and are doing well.

I mean same thing here as far as appetite, I have no problems with coat or energy level.

My girl loves her GSD 24 and has for over a year.  In fact, I had to cut down her ration as she was porking out a little.

Hmmm, my dog gets a 1/4 chicken and a satin ball patty every morning, yogurt and liver in the afternoon. Costs far less than RC 24 and my dog never misses a meal. I had the same problem going off feed with various kibbles, even the highly raved about Solid Gold. He ate it for 3 days and decided to never tough it again. Now he looks better than ever, no supplements needed for a shiny coat and super white teeth. I'm not sure why RC is one of the highest priced bag foods around.

I have fed Royal Canin GSD 24 to my dogs for the last 6 months or so now.  Three of the four shepherds have done really well on the food.  The fourth one had runny stools as soon as I switched to R.C. and they never stopped.  She is on Chicken Soup ____ and doing well.  So it depends on the dogs also.  I am very happy with the appetite, coat, conditions, energy level etc., of the dogs which are fed R.C.  There are a number of other club members who feed R.C. and most of them have good things to say about the food.

Agar, Oh yea, I'm eating fast food and the dogs eating like a King! GARD will tell you the same. I wont tell you it doesn't cause problems. LOL

Still it's just throwing the stuff together, no cooking required. I hate being in the kitchen, mine is very small and away from the rest of the house. It's like a damn prison cell. I so don't want to spend hours in there slaving over a hot stove.
