You do not have to prove anything. Helser has already done this himself. I thought he was long gone, but he can't help himself.

He is a criminal and a con-artist. He is by no means a good dog trainer (I do not consider him one and would not use that term to describe him)

We all know his story. We have been there and done that. Please do not entertain his bullshit or it will clog up the whole board. You do not need to explain yourself. We all know about him and his bullshit.

With all due respect.... that is no reason to not do Schutzhund. If you really like the concept of schutzhund you would do it and do it for your own self. If you observe other peoples behavior on this board and then use it against schutzhund, you are lugubrious mistaken.

I'm not buying the fact that it's GARD fault for your distaste for schutzhund.

No...not so.  I like Sch as a sport...i just don't like most of the political buddy system back stabbing sh*t slinging that I see...I shyed away from sch because I was never welcome-3 clubs visited-with my american bulldogs.  If i had shown up with a GSDor a Mal I would have been welcomed with open arms-of course if I had the right GSD or Mal.

Its VERY clicky and political...not very inviting or welcoming.  That was MY experience-perception is reality.  As a bulldog owner, I train for a BST done by the Working American Bulldog Association which is in fact VERY similar to a Bh smooshed with some Sch1 minus tracking.  Feel free to view the test on WABA's website.  SO...with the bulldogs having the luxury of having a BST, it wasn't hard to turn away from Sch bc we have the same "concept" for testing.

With a club that is welcoming, informative, and helpful...its much easier to add a sch title to my to do list after my BST.  I am learning leaps and bounds about the sport from this club and really NOW enjoy it.  I just think its a shame that I had to go through 3 bad clubs to find a good group of people that don't look down their noses at me and my bulldog.

I expect to be snubbed by everyone on this board bc of the club I belong to and who I train with.   The only thing i do care about is working my dog and achieving titles because I enjoy it...and it isn't just Sch or a BST that I train for.  My dogs work in other venues such as catching, weight pull, iron dog, PP, conformation...

Unfortunately they're some bad clubs along with bad people in schutzhund, that should not be held against Schutzhund in anyway. You need to keep trying your best to find the right club. If for any reason those 3 clubs were the closest club near you, I suggest that you get some DVD's from Ivan (Note: Ivans teaching methods only work for those who have dogs that has similar mentality as Ivan's) and start teaching yourself the Schutzhund obedience routine.

If you truly love the sport you wouldn't let these 3 clubs get to you.

I'm glad you found another sport that you enjoy, Keep doing what you love to do :)
