I'll tell you the sad truth. I am not really educated enough to point out an exceptional from a substandard GSD unless it is glaringly obvious. I feel presumptious when I post on a thread like this.

If I were to walk by this dog on the street I would definately comment on him to his owner. He is gorgeous in my view but feel self conscious saying it before a board of professionals.

I used to read horse magazines and one had a regular article where they would put pictures of horses and the reader would try to decide the conformational points-good and bad. And a professional would list them as well. I learned a lot about conformation that way and saw a lot of progress in this when I was doing it with my friend who knows everything there is to know about horses. Amazing person.

I wish there was a way to do that here. Wait, let me rephrase. A SAFE way to do that here!

I fully agree, dawgs! It's like pulling teeth to get someone to critique a dog's conformation here!

Guess they're afraid the breeder will come bite them on the ass if they say something bad about the dog!

Looks nice enough. Do not like his front or his lack of a black mask.

What about his front autobahn? I was told to divide horses into thirds (from the side) and look at each section independently and then interdependantly. Is it like that when you say front?

I like the picture with the handler.  She looks like she has good confirmation.  I just wish she would look up and take the #27 off.JMHO
