Sunsilver

Not about a GSD, but thought we could all use some happy news! This breed has had so much horrible press, it's nice to see a positive story about them. (And it happened in my hometown, too...)

Could have gone much differently !!     Glad the dog was not latched onto the guys arm when the LE's got there or the outcome might have been alot different.   Of course it's quite possible they don't shoot family pets there.  Ok yes that was sarcasm.

I suppose since the dog has now bitten someone they will try to list him on the Dangerous Dog list ??  That would top off the story nicely wouldn't it ?   Where's the Rat Pack ??

I say good Dog !!

Kool! Hats off to Romeo!

Kudos to Romeo. Had it happened in the US, the owner would be sued by the intruder for damages caused by his dog including a new shirt and designer jeans. The dog would be placed in rabies quarantine paid for by the owner. If the dog was seen salivating by the kennel boy who just graduated from 9th grade and who has always wanted a dog, he'd be declared a dangerous dog whit rabies, killed and be-headed so he could be tested for rabies. If he lived in CA, they'd first neuter him before being PTS. Levine would push the plunger, PETA would photograph the event for their website.

Blitzen   ohhhh  it's so refreshing knowing I am not the only one with condescending feelings around here.  LOL  :-)

I think if the intruder tried to sue for injuries/damage to property, he'd get laughed out of court! There's still some sanity in the legal system in this country!

Do they still wear the wigs over there in court?  If so, I don't think that is very sane.  We leave the wigs to the cross-dressers in Miami.

Don, photos aren't allowed in court, so it's a little hard to answer your question, but, from the sketches I've seen, no, they don't. And 'over there' from my geographical standpoint, is England or Europe, AKA 'the other side of the pond'! :-)

OMG those vicious Rotts! We should ban the breed!

Good dog!  Every rottie I've met has been a good dog. I'm glad he was there for his owner.
