I have a female that whelped on Sunday and took Monday for x-ray to make sure all were delivered. Today she was nursing and her skin looks like its contracting and she is making like a groaning noise. What could this be?

I was thinking that, but you hear of vets missing pups. it has been stressful time here, i have had a few sick pups. 3 girls, 2 boys.

I wouldn't worry about a missing pup since you had an x-ray but it is possible..remotely.
Keep an eye on momma's temp.
What's wrong with the sick pups?
