I heard tracking was extreme and 40% of the teams did not pass.

Tracking must have been brutal. Anyone know the specifics?

I know that tracking was on sod, and I heard it may have been recently fertilized. So I suppose the rain helped the dogs that went on the second day - and sod is difficult with or without "help" from fertilizer, weather, rain, heat, etc. It's a challenge all by itself.

How was tracking brutal? 19 SchH3 dogs made it to tracking. Only 4 failed, and 10 got scores in the 90s, four of which were 96s. That doesn't sound brutal to me.
