New design looks. - Page 1

Hi Everyody
(said in the voice of doctor Nick Riviera <-- The Simpsons)

I decided that I was too much of a computer geek/data analyst to do anykind of design to the pedigree database.

2 companies went for the battle,   and I have the first design layout for viewing.

Please bear in mind that this is 1 of 2 companies that did design ideas.

The ideas are not final (of course) but an indicator.  Please bear in mind that this site really needs to appeal to the casual breed enthusiast. :)

So,  Some oppinions please ..

I like the layout of homepage_02 better.  Subtle differences but still like better.  I like the color of homepage better though, the blues.

And I could actually hear Dr. Nick saying "Hi Everybody"   :)

I personally like the first one better.

I will need to go with one redesign or another.  The website does great with you professionals,.  and I want it to be that way for the next 50 years.  free, open , fast and largest.. 

I just bought / rented a 15.000 USD server,  just to handle the load.  The current ad/etc.. revenue holds that up.  So I'm glad, 

I want this web to be available anytime.
The next thing is to add the yum(tm) factor.

you'll have to forgive me, for doint that. Since the basic stuff will still be there :)

I hate either or questions when you like what already exists. But, if I have to choose, I like the second choice better.

Quite honestly, I believe the multitude of us have little concern as to the graphic presentation of your pedigree database pages.

I think that the imformation you help provide us on Pedigrees, mating checks, dogs or pups available and the information on any possible

topic we are researching is all most of us are seeking. I think you have done a most impressive job and the current layout is just fine.

Don't think any of us are fussing at all about the current layout and just love what you have done.

It doesnðt have to change.  Bt the current configuration is more suited for the hard-core user then the average browser.

The average user is 10x more numerous  then the hardcore user. So, Its a win/wn situation if we get a bigger traffic rate.

(note that I may not do anything,  I haven't decided yet)
