Hello, Is there something you can do about this character Seriously?? This individual is causing trouble constantly, insulting everyone, there are a few others that have issues but this Seriously person, is just being nasty. I really like this forum, and I want to stay here, but with all of this arguing and confrontation on here it is really not making it a nice place to be anymore. :(

I'm sure if you have been reading all of the Max posts you will completely understand and see exactly what I am talking about. I know that I am not the only one who is tired of the constant bickering and arguing. It is not even intelligent conversation at this point. I appreciate you at least looking into this.

Many of us old timers know that this man is a spoofer and we also know who he is. Just run a simple regression or matrix analysis of these posting dates and the posting dates of another poster who is absent in cycles of up to several months at a time. During these intermittent periods when this one individual is absent (Oli knows who this man is), all the argumentative, angry, insulting, provocative posts stop and peace descends on this forum. Videx kennels found out who this spoofer is after of over a year of insults. Some very knowledgeable breeders and trauiners who can share lots of hard to get valuable info have quit using the forum because of this one flamer who has spoofed over 10 different forum names at different times, many times even arguing with and insulting himself as cover. It might fool a lot of folks on the forum, but it doesn't fool me. Unless Oli sets up a name, address validation for each poster (like other GSD forums sucvh as Ed Frawley's for one example of many), this sort of sick mpd abuse will contine for sure. The ball is in your court Oli. This same individual in the past has crossed the line a number of times but so far this spring his criminal acts of the past have not reappeared. Every computer leaves a chip code attached to every e-mail that can be traced via internet providers. Anyone in law enforcement white collar crime units knows this, but most citizens don't. So therefore, since mr. mpd is hip to this now, and also knows about the new teeth in state cyber laws, we will probably not see any more threats to other poster by him as occurred in the past. This individual I am refering to has been kicked of a number of other forums in the past for harassing and abusing other posters and also has had complaints registered on a scam reporting site for unethical breeder sales practices. It's sad that one sick person can generate so much hurt and damage to the best GSD site on the world wide web, and even sadder that he has a few sick followers that cherish his snide twister humor always made by degrading others. These folks are as sick as he is and should start their own forum with him.

Just ignore the BS. It is well worth the effort. Welcome, I can tell you it is very addictive as well as informative.

Thank you Preston. Now since I'm new here will you please explain what a "spoofer" is? I'm lost on alot of the computer terminology.

policemom, I think it's someone who posts only for self gratification and to cause complete chaos with good members of boards such as this one... Am I right guys ?? That's how I understood it anyway. Mitch

It would be nice if the Terms and Conditions of the website were enforced. The tone of the community lately has been very discouraging, but it is not just this one person alone. What is sad is that it can set the tone for the community for a long time. It can do a lot of damage.

I would suggest a tougher forum code of conduct and some moderator activity.

If I may politely suggest some clear amendments to the terms and conditions that I have seen successfully employed on other major forum communities:

1. Spam, which is defined as posts which do not fit the topic in question, excessive posting, or cross posting, are not allowed on the forums. Moderators and Administrators, at their sole discretion will warn, and then permanently close an account which continues to post ‘spam’ on the message forums.

2. Trolling, which we define as posts or threads which knowingly lead to overly strong negative and emotional responses are not allowed on the forums. Moderators and Administrators, at their sole discretion will warn, and then permanently close an account which continues to ‘troll’ on the message forums.

The Terms and conditions of this site are not bad, but it doesnt look like they are enforced to me.

It sure is discouraging, all I care about is talking "Dogs", I could care less about all the drama & the nasty language and name calling. I am new to this site, and lately it has really been terrible. But thank you for the encouragement, it was much needed.
