How do I go about getting a D.N.A. test done and submitting it to the SV. Can my regular vet do that or is there an offical that oversees that? Website, name & phone #, anything would be helpful.

I am not sure if the SV takes DNA tests from other countries . They do however accept the DNA profile from the US . You can get a DNA test kit from the AKC website www.akc.net.

The AKC and the SV DNA tests use different DNA markers and do not accept each others tests. Use the AKC test for AKC purposes. Use WDA (http://www.gsdca-wda.org) or USA (http://www.germanshepherddog.com) for SV purposes. Info re how to is on their sites.

I just order a couple from www.vetdnacenter.com send kits for free and when you send back think its 49.00

I did not know that you could get your horse, cat or even your bird a D.N.A. test. Thanks zigzag.
