I am thing about having a seminar with Dean Calderon in the Nashville Tn area.I have not done one before and need help. first I am sure people will be willing to drive to see Dean but with the price of gas now do you think this is a bad time?and how many teams to have an what to charge. Please give me your thoughts thanks.

A lot depends on what he charges a day, transportation costs, hotel etc.. and how many working teams you can have per day..... We bring in Debbie Zappia periodically so if you want to post me off list, I'd be happy go into details..it's a pretty big job..

WVSC in Oregon is having a Dean seminar in June.  Mary (of that club) could probably give you some info about what to charge, etc.: http://www.willamettevalleyschutzhundclub.com/Events.htm

Post it and they will come. Dean is one of the hardest working trainers in schutzhund and will give you your money's worth no matter what your level. Be prepared to work.

sueincc,  Yes that's Mary Diegart (not sure if the spelling is correct on last name)  One of our puppy owners is in her club,  I hope I can get away to go attend that seminar,  but have big neglect case in trial in June don't know the dates yet.  keeping fingers crossed.

I agree if your considering having a seminar post it in plenty of time for folks to make arrangements, and no matter the fuel costs they will come if they can.

Around here (NE Region) seminars are not well attended, but where you live DC should draw well.  Wish I could be there...

Good luck,
