Yes, the top is showline, bottom by names looks like KNPV but since they are OFA'd, I'd say american bred. Where that stock is out of no one can guess since the data doesn't go far enough back on the bottom line.

all german show line..what does that mean based on the other post about the split and use through both lines. sounds like a lot of muddy water.

Muddy water or not, you wont find a person who will call those working lines, they are W German Show. Whether they work or not is something you will have to look up further. Very few showline breeders bred for true working ability.

So what you have as we hope would be best of both worlds... may have the looks of the showline and with proper training and if the dog will be hard enough to work can be considered working line. Good luck in taking care of your dogs and bring them up as you would like to grow up if your in their place... chao, marci PS. I believe the split did not occur during the Wienerau period but instead during the times after WWII, when dogs from Germany are being bred to be sold. When the BuseckerSchloss line concentrated in breeding for true working temperament, while other German Breeders would breed for what they think can be sold for American dollars. This started when Pfeffer v. Bern won over Odin BuseckerSchloss(sable) and the rest was history... the next generations were cookie-stamped Blk and Reds.(yes it was not the Martins who started the color...they were just known for being uniformly Blk and Reds because it was the most MARKETABLE Typevolle.)

Im not trying to have them called working lines. I just wanted some clearification on the split. Are the working line SchH III beter then the showline SchH III or are the titles "watered down" for the showline?
