Oh and I didnt see your question at the bottom. Is Tino Neutered yet? No he isnt.

by Get A Real Dog on 19 August 2007 - 21:08

I guess your dog still has his balls.

GARD, you do know you're wasting your time....right?

This thread is appropriately titled.

by Puputz on 19 August 2007 - 22:08

This guy didn't know any better either, it would have benefitted the breed more if you didn't hang up and attempted to educate him.

Well said Spook.   GARD:  You have more patience than me.  You are nice to hang in there after being spanked for an assumption which seemed to be a forgone conclusion on the other thread.

"GARD, the difference between them and me, I didnt know any better when I bred up Xena, I had no idea there was such a thing as Shutzhund, titling or OFA. I had a papered dog and intended to breed her. I have since learned the difference and have changed my opinions. If it had not been for this board I would still be ignorant."

And yet you still want help in figuring out a kennel name for your "working line"???http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/bulletins_read/122647.html#123972

Don't you think it would behoove you to learn a little something BEFORE you try to breed WORKING lines?

I have 12 oaks trees on my property, and I thought to use that name but didnt like the sound of it so I translated it to german, sounds much better even tho I dont think I am pronouncing it right. I didnt find a Kennel wit hthat name but after digging for hours and gooogling etc I found a single stable, cart racing I believe ( I dont read german at all lol) hm I wonder if that would be considered an infringment even tho they are 2 totally different type of places?

I am referring to the above quote in the previously mentioned thread.

Weird. At the point he asked about the stud I guess I would have said......no? Maybe say I have puppies and what are you looking to do with the dog?  It's hard to get a read on you a lot of time, Shandra. You give a lot of mixed signals in your posts.

Nobody's business whether you breed. Except maybe people like Hodie, DeesWolf and others who rescue the pups-or their pups?  And maybe people have some degree of consternation because they gave so much time and advice, only to hear the above conversation.

Remember we can only take our impressions from the ones you give.  Not bashing. Just explaining why there has been this dynamic with your threads.

Dawgs

So because I have thought of a name I would like to use if at some point I decide to breed, that is also a problem? I guess it is assumed I am going to run out and get another female and breed breed breed. I have never said that as a matter of fact I have done everything possible to go the opposit direction. Title or not, I would NOT breed any GSD dog without OFA. If I would have known about OFA to begin with Xena never would have been bred without it. I was told Tino's prelims looked "Good" what was meant by that I am not sure, I have not yet recieved them. I am keeping one of the pups from this litter to train and hopefully Title. If nothing else then title in obedience, I have said this before. So what is wrong with a name of my choosing for that pup?

Advice is just that, advice. It is not gospel and while I appreciate all of the experience put into that advice that does not dictate that I do exactly what is advised. This board is not the only place I have gotten advice from, that does not mean that I am going to do exactly what I was advised by the others. heck, I was given alot of different advice, from Keeping tino but keeping him seperated to working on him and my son together to just getting rid of him. So which advice am I suppposed to follow again? I have to weigh all of the advice and make a decision based on the advice from all sources, my own experiences with him in the home and what is best for all concerned. As I have said before, I am talking with someone that is interested in Tino. SO lets drop the Tino subject since a decision has been made.

If you have an ounce of brains, you will neuter that dog before he leaves your property.

Ignorance is not an excuse in the laws eyes and I can see why. Tino's pups may very well be the next GSD's to turn on their owners and make it bad for the rest of us.
