Follow up on my friends dog - Page 1

My friend whose dog I posted about a while back called me today and told me a story I wanted to share.  She has the working line that bit a visitor who came in after knocking on the door and he bit her and kept her in the entryway while my friend was upstairs.

She lives back east and said it was about a zero wind chill last night.  It was really windy there and before they went to bed her husband got something out of his car then locked the door and went up to bed.  He thought the door was caught closed but it's an older house and the lock thing must not have settled into the strikeplate (I think that's what it's called) and the wind blew it open during the night. When her husband got up for wark at five the dog was laying in the doorway where he must have stayed all night.  He was shivering like crazy but wouldn't leave the door unattended.  What a cool dog.  She doesn't live in the greatest area and I am so glad she has this dog.  She's very special to me and I rest easier knowing he's there.

Sounds like your friend has a winner in her dog. I hope they take good care of him and appreciate him.

Good boy! I hope your friends pipes didn't freeze! My sister lives in Mass. and said with the wind chill it was about -25. BRRRR!

That is a good dog. However, why didn't he go get your friend to close the door?

I've got a great story. My son was upstairs in his room on his computer. The wife and daughters were in the lounge watching tv. Her dog is asleep on the rug. My sons friend came around the back of the house called a few times at the back door and got no reply. Knowing my son was upstairs and being invited, he went up the back stairs to my son's room. A neighbour see's a kid creeping around the back porch and slip in through the back door. She calls the cops to report the intruder. A sixteen year old black kid in an all white household (I add that to help the picture along) A few minutes later the cops arrive, open the unlocked front door guns drawn and walk into the lounge. My wife looks up shocked and they ask her is there anyone else in the house. Yes she says my son is upstairs in his room. One cop remains to guard her and the girls the others go up the stairs guns at the ready, body armour the whole nine yards... Finding my son with his buddy playing on the computer they realise whats happend and come back downstairs in good spirits. Many thankyous from the wife and reassurance from the cops who are pretty amusued by the whole thing and they leave. As the last one goes out he shuts the door behind him with a small bang. The dog wakes up and goes berserk !!!

He was busy cooking breakfast and he was probably afraid the eggs would scorch while he ran upstairs. Duh.
