Teak's claim to fame was as a Search and Rescue dog for Jackson County, Oregon. The best save he had was an 80 year old woman who had wandered out the back door of her home and become lost. Several search teams had gone looking for her, but had come up empty. Darkness was approaching quickly and it was important to find her. Teak was brought in and he immediately went to work. He dropped his nose at the back door and took off! He ran down an incline and under a thicket of berries, was the woman! She was trapped there by the long thorns of the bush and was stuck! Teak was a hero and he was honored on the evening news for his find!

A dream to live with and train...never afraid to make a mistake has the 'let's try again' attitude which makes training all the more fun. Compliments at every event we attend, even called the 'prettiest dog on the dock' at dock dog events by the announcer. Would love to have a clone of this dog he is so special in so many ways. Loves puppies and will automatically lie down to greet the small ones. One owner of a sheltie puppy with a broken leg thanked us for meeting her puppy and how gentle my dog was with her puppy. After taking 11 years off from training I have had a blast trying new venues this time around.
