Nice pedigree. Bet he'd produce some pretty intense and strong pups.

All depends on the female.

"All depends on the female."

Ah yes, the post that's been posted 10 million times before. Thanks for the info!

You can't say what a dog will produce until he's actually produced it. You can have the nicest pedigree until the dog is actually producing puppies and you know what you get, nothing is proven, nothing has been produced!

BE, you are correct. Until that dog produces pups, with several females, and those pups are adults, everything is conjecture.

Welllll Wellllll here comes the cliches what everybody knows ,,,nobody have to tell me about how important females are.... I,m talking now about a stud dog, a female alone can,t produce pups duhhh

The fact is a proven bloodline with proven more than average offspring in pedigree ,have change better to produce better  quality  than a very average bloodline what I see a lot...and yes  it depends  the quality from the individual dog also. we all  know that too....

A starting stud dog have to start somewhere....duhhhhh.....

I have my opinion and other people have their own vision thats ok we will see in future what it brings...

Nobody in the world can say  how a starting combination  will produce   all rockstars .Knowledge  experience and vision will help, some people have better vision and knowledge  than others thats why some breeders  have  produce better litters  over the years than other breeders because they know what they doing and the  others MANY OF THEM  !!!!     ....         NOT......

BM - have you seen his dam Chiva in person, or other pups from her? I see that she was bred to a couple of well-known dogs, just wondering what she produced.

For those just starting out in their pedigree research or people who have not seen/heard of dogs in Ivar's pedigree, what can you say about the genetics of this dog? Which dogs make his pedigree a 'proven' one? And what do you see that is special about Ivar himself?

many or even most dogs with strong and/or proven pedigree are nothing like what their pedigree "promises "

working dog website has a nice tool on there that states the percentage of ancester loss coefficent, and thats between 90 and 100 % for most dogs these days, meaning that chances of pups being anything like any dog on their pedigree are pretty slim

If breeding was only as simple as putting two super nice “proven” pedigrees together. 😂😵😳
