PINERIDGE

I DON'T GET IT !! What is the point of advertising a fantastic litter by Superstud and then when people inquire, you don't even respond ?? I don't get it. If they are all sold, it's a simple thing to say - sorry - all sold. If you don't want to ship cross country - then say so. whatever -- just respond - Anything less is just plain rude!! Don't you think you owe everybody who calls or e-mails in response to an ad deserves a reply ??

PINERIDGE, I don't get it either. I did the same thing but with questioning about a stud service on couple of Florida breeders and I never got an email back. It's been going on for few weeks now and no email back. I agree to what Saoa says. If they don't care... why should you? Go to a breeder that will respond to you and will answer to any of your questions.

How many time's have you emailed??It is possible that the email got lost or accidently deleted! This has happened to me,I always give a few days to reply,if I do not hear back I will email again!

No Lisa, they got it -- it's been a long time -- I don't need them for anything - I was asking for some people who asked me to help them find a pup. I even told the breeder this - and that if my friends were interested, and I approved, I would put them in contact directly - and not be "in the middle". People forget that there are something like 55,000 GSD's registered in this country every year - and some of them are quite nice !! not to mention importing - which I did for the second time in 2 years. I'm happy to say that I have a new addition to my family - I have a extraordinary little girl sired by Karat's ULK -- She is amazing !@! nothing less.

Pineridge, I will give you a second view. I make it a policy to respond as quickly as possible almost always to any phone call, or email. However, I can tell you that I personally will not respond to anonymous emails asking about a litter for example, especially when I sense it is not a serious inquiry. In such cases I send an email back and ask for more information. Often, I get no reply. So what I am saying is that it goes both ways. I am so happy that things are working out with your new pup. I know you said you were really excited about getting her. Good luck helping her become all she can be.

I posted an ad once on another board and had trouble replying because some e-mails kept coming back to me as having been filtered by people's servers as spam. I would remove the "re:" from the subject line, try again, and if that didn't work I didn't know what else to try! There are some fairly legitimate reasons for not responding, but in many cases I think you're correct...dog is sold and people don't have the courtesy to say so. Diane

Diane, I had the same thing happen to me on an ad for stud service. Their server kept sending my reply back, saying that it did not like recipient. I could never respond back to them as they had only left me the email address and nothing else. I know that address was correct and working as it was the same one used to send me their request for more information on my stud dog. It is very frustrating to send away business and not even get the chance to respond!!! A suggestion might be that when you respond to an add, be sure and leave ALL of your contact information so that if your server filters it out, the person can still call you or snail mail you a responce. I'm not saying that this is what happend to the subject poster, but it very well could have! Debby

Good points Diane and djc. I just had this exact thing happen when I responded to a legitimate request for information on my litter. The email bounced, having been filtered out. Those sending emails requesting information should always provide alternative methods of contact.

Hodie - It wasn't you !! I believe we have talked about a recent litter you had. I don't mean to crab about this too much -- I've written it off as that persons loss. It just seems so simple to reply - if, as they say above, you're not filterd out - I wouldn't reply to anonymous either, or something that looked "funny".

Hi Pineridge, No, yes, you and I have had several nice conversations lately about a nice litter I have and one you were looking at. Good luck with your Ulk baby!
