Hi! Can someone tell something about Baru and his progeny? Charakter etc.. And have You ever seen Romi Haus Yu?

by Ryan on 05 April 2005 - 19:04

Have two friends with his direct progeny. One with Neptune daughter other slips my mind. Both excellent dogs. Baru should have gone VA? An expert has opined so above, and while I dont agree with wverything said,....doesnt matter. Good breeder in Romania uses him a lot. Not hard to find his website..do Baru search here. He will attest to great quality of charachter and masculine features produced(in males). Never heard a negative about him.

Saoa - there was tons of applause and cheer when Larus went from the VA2 spot to the VA1 spot. The booing was when Karat's Ulk was put back 5 spots, from a VA position to V1! Please, lets stick to the facts here. Same as your comments regarding Mr. Yu, who is a most respected breeder in Germany, they are pure speculation. We all know many of these decisions are political, but unless any of us is directly involved there is no way of knowing the ins and outs of a particular situation. If your comment was to hold true then please have a look at the owner of the 2004 VA1 female Kamilla vom Römerland, the VA2 female Tabata du Val D'Anzin, the owner of VA Hill Farbenspiel, the owner of VA Parkos D'Ulmental, etc. I have to agree with you on the quality of Baru though. He is a fantastic dog and he has been a top producer. IMO his true strength is just appearing in the second generation, meaning in the dogs he is the grandsire to.

The judges have to be paid off for your dog to receive a VA rating? - Seems like a pretty strong statement! - We all know that politics play a role to some extent in placements, but good breeding, long hours of hard work and traveling the show circuit do also, something I believe you are not acquainted with. - I would hope that you have proof to back up a statement such as that? * It's comments such as yours that bring down the quality & level of participation on this board. No reply necessary, I'm not looking for an argument, just stating what I'm sure others are thinking.

Let's keep cool my friends...we know politics are everywhere.:) As for Baru vom Haus Yü, as you might know, I own a daughter of his....V Occa vom Kirschental HGH, she produces excellent dogs, temperament, very nice drives, large bone and that infamous dark face:) Have already kept back a little girl from my breeding to V Presco vom Haus Dexel, a Timo son, at 6 months is showing promise. Met the dumbell yesterday for the first time.....and picked it up like a pro...fill grip:):):) Anyways, Baru is well respected over "there" and I must agree that not all VA dogs produce what the title indicates. My two cents worth Michele

Well if you have never been to a German sieger, you look at a picture of baru an see a beutiful well build dog. However a sieger in germany has at least 30 of almost equal quality. Maybe he goes VA next year. Maybe not. The importent thing is if he is used for breeding or not. Ithink he is doing ok, lets see his offspring and determin how good he is. Kim
