Anyone have any recent information about the progeny of this guy? What about any other useful information that might be helpful to someone considering using him? Has anyone seen him work?
Thanks in advance,
Theresa

I have no first hand info, but everything I have heard indicates that his progeny are good, but so far none as good as him. His work is reputed to be very good but not amazing. Aside from rear angulation that is rather excessive he is certainly an excellent specimen himself. Best Wishes, Jonah

I have a daughter by Quenn. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/478379.html She is VERY nice and has tons of drive, good nerve and endurance, as well as wonderful temperament. Her coat is nice and full and she has good movement. Good color but not as dark as I would like. She is also doing very well in SchH training. She is young - 9 months - as is nice enough that her breeder wants her to come to the Sieger Show this year.
The only issue with Quenn in my mind is his bite work. I saw him work at last years Sieger Show (2006) and in my eyes he barely passed. It almost discouraged me from getting my little girl, but I knew that lines in the back ground were known to have good working qualities as well as producing good work. Especially the "V" Moorbeck lines! I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID! She is wonderful in the work as well as charater and nerve.
I can only think that Quenn has had the wrong kind of trainer for his specific needs, or was not given the time he needed to mature and get a solid grip on the bite work.
Hope that helps some,
Debby
