Search 'Real GSD' these lots of information there. It's a good place to start.

Do you mean what V and VA stand for? Or do you mean historic V and VA dogs? Maybe if you were a little more specific someone could point you in the right direction. If you mean historic VA dogs and bitches, there is a section to the left of this screen that has that. The VA rating is only given at Sieger Shows for dogs and bitches over two years of age, with working titles and breed surveys, and whose parents were also titled and surveyed - equivalent to Excellent Select. These dogs must also pass a courage test with at least a "pronounced" rating in courage. There are thousands (or more) V (Excellent) rated dogs, as that rating can be given at any SV show, no matter how many dogs are entered and the dogs need to have a title, but don't have to pass a courage test. Is this what you were looking for? Theresa

In many cases the v rated may actually have more working ability than VA rated. Food for thought...
