For your information, this subject has been discussed frequently on the messageboard, with some very interesting methods. You might want to scroll down through the pages. No need to be ashamed of them ears. Walter Martin had some doggies running around with massively taped ears when I last visited him (long time ago). Maybe visit their new website or ask them. I have heard of a method using birdfeathers. The shafts (I guess three or four pigeonfeathers are glued to each other, like a fan) are tremendously strong and light too. Once in place, the rest is cut off to match the form of the ear.

Well Jantie you should have looked a bit better than you would have seen how it works. Imran Zia if you want, contact me and I¿ll tell you more about it.

I don't need to know how ears are taped Micke. I would sue anyone delivering me a dog with floppy ears! (Just kidding!)

Hi Jantie, I just can¿t see nothing bad in helping a puppy by taping the ears. If a dog has got floppy or weak ears due to genetics, no taping will help anyway. What I know, even if that isn¿t much, most pups let their ears hang down as soon they start loosing their teeth and if the ears were standing before that they¿ll get up without any help later again. Kind Regards Micke

That is perfectly correct. My dog had standing ears very soon, they started flopping down again during teething. Later at six months they were back up again. I was referring to the heartattacks some people are having when they suddenly notice their pup lets its ears hang down (after they were perfectly standing before). As I said, was just joking. Maybe not appropriate, sorry, if the ears do not get up at all, it is quite disturbing for the owners.
