Zamp Thermodos vs Pakros - Page 1

Do you think Zamp will be seiger next year or is Pakros a better choice? Obviously no one can tell until the day but as in indiviual opinions what do ya'll think?

I'll take a chance & say Pakros this year & Zamp next year but who knows...the $64,000 question.I think one thing's for sure the quality of the progeny will play a big part unlike the last 2 years with the Larus V. Batu fiasco. Rod.

I think that Pakros VA4-2005 and Zamp VA5-2005, are not the only choices for Sieger this year. Picking either as the Sieger NOW, is analogous to buying a square on a football pool at work. Lot more dogs are going to be there and unless the judge has been appointed and already made up his mind, who knows? Hopefully the judge will wait until view the Class and give an objective decision. Comparing the two dogs, I prefer the topline, head and muscular density of Pakros, over Zamp. Stephen

SGBH read my post-it already says just for arguments sake. You have to realize that the first three dogs will go and maybe 4-5 new dogs will come up. Vegas will be one hopefully unless he is sold to China ofcourse. I know I am making assumptions and essentially you are absolutely correct in what you are saying. But I just saw the video and again have never seen the dogs myself. But I have followed Zamp and have had a litter from him and have loved him but seeing the video i realized that maybe Pakros was better for many reasons. Maybe I wrote the question wrong in my enthusiam to learn but just wanted to know what people thought. Are you german? Your points are very germanic. Interesting and correct though.

I just really hope a dog with nz elbows is not made Sieger... While Pakros is undoubtly an incredible dog and producer of his overall structure and beauty as well, that has to be taken into account. With the higher heritability factor in elbows, as compared to hips, you'd think it would make a joke of the new elbow requirements... It is a HUGE problem which is why so many kennels are screening for ED. You don't even really see a dog with nz hips put into the VA category anymore... I guess out of the two, I would hope it would be Zamp... HD normal, ED normal. The health of a dog getting that many breeders should be excellent.
