I've had good experiences using Ray Allen bitesleeves. I'd like comments on which type of sleeve you use for which dogs, and if you've liked them or not.

No single sleeve or type of sleeve is good for every dog, especially when training.

Your absolutely right...but I've had a lot of luck with the Belgium Arm and also a sleeve from Germany called Koch...they are both great for intermediate to trial work...I also happen to like the Gappay young dog sleeve...

I, too, prefer the Belgium Arm for my own dogs. It is well constructed and seems to hold up indefinitely with proper care and changes of sleeve covers. I like the Gappay sleeve cover that has a handle.

Belgian Arm. I love the belgian arm. It is a nice light weight arm and isn't bulky. For being small light weight and not feeling bulky or having a sleeve moving on my arm is key. The "ORIGINAL" Belgium arm can be bought from Matschenka K9 Services do a search for Yahoo... but Matschenka is also the web address. I know a few people who claim to sell them but there are imitations of them. I have had the best luck with the original, the construction is hard to beat, and as they said with sleeve cover changes and good care you'll have your self a long lasting sleeve. Alsoif you get the original from Matschenka the price is SUPER good for the quality WOW..... It was put together by top trainers, and is easy to present and works well. But for me the fact it is light weight and strong with a good fight helps me and is comfortable. JMHO

While I have found the Ray Allens very well made and long-lasting, I don't like them anywhere near as well as the German sleeves I use. Frabo No.7, also their Junghund Sleeve, Schweikert 5484, the Ebinger trial sleeve and a very unusual compression sleeve from Ebreu. Of all of them, I find the Schweiker the most comfortable. The Frabo is probably the lightest.
