You don't have a good one, that's all I know. Just talk riding, and show us some of yours.

My point is some of us were still wondering wtf your problem is with my owning a particular (rather nice) horse, but it's been made clear now. Light bulb moment. Thanks!

What would you like to see?

Jenni, I couldn't agree more about the Friesians. If someone likes a certain look or temperament, they should maybe just buy the breed that is supposed to represent those qualities.

RS, beautiful horse!! I also prefer the ones with a little more size. Haven't been paying attention to bloodlines much, other than noting the horses I've liked that I've seen. This stud marries together my two loves, cutting horses and Arabians, though I worry about form eventually following function (i.e., through breeding choices, ending up with a Quarter horse-looking Arabian). And I've always much preferred the horses that come from good endurance-bred stock rather than the show circuit.

Deanna, your girl is just gorgeous. She looks like a real sweetheart :)

beetree, I also don't really get where you're coming from...this thread started out nice with some pretty pictures and then there was  , then , and finally  and . Actually, I'm just having fun with the icons, but you catch my drift.

Just keeping it real ladies, I'm talking about riding and fancy horses. I thought that's what we were talking about. i actually posted a picture of myself, probably something I will totally regret, and your appreciation is underwhelming.

Let's talk about wild riding and quality horses. And ponies. What's the problem?

Oh and Jenni, there was I time I couldn't afford a Fresian. But those days are over. LOL  There are some real good deals, too, way less than twenty thousand, if someone wants to dig a little deeper.

Jenni - Awww, what a cute baby! Foals are adorable. There is a big horse farm a couple miles from here and in the spring they always have a ton of babies. I always have to drive by to watch them play... so cute!

Ruger - Love your horses! The black one is my favorite of the two, I think. Very pretty!

Red Sable

Certain Potential would be my choice of those 3!

Thanks M&J., Kody is just gorgeous!  He looks to have quite a bit of Egyptian Arab in him, beautiful horse!

Beetree, where are you getting this 20k number from?    Is that the cap YOU put on my pet budget and you're afraid I"ve exceeded it? LOL. Chief and what I paid for him is water under the bridge now. Now that I have him, I'd like an approved stallion as a back up plan, so are you going to help me get the 2 million euros or not?

You can find a weanling or yearling colt for less than that...sure. Probably even a mare who didn't get her ster. Or a horse w/out a fully papered dam line. There are many many out there. It all depends on what you want. There are a couple B- book stallions that just sold for $14,500, under duress (lots of those around lately, too) though their sires weren't approved on offspring, so they have no stallion potential through FPS, but they're still pretty. For most people, that's ok; they don't really care. If you just want "a Friesian" there are many out there you could bring home for a little less. Kind of like if you just want "a German Shepherd"....

This thread didn't start out about riding and various horses and ponies, and your current financial status is about as intriguing to me as, well, as your other comments.  If you need a refresher, it was about "eye candy"  and a thread about Friesians, as the title implies. I don't think we need to rehash what happened next.  It was nice of you to steer it in the current direction rather than continue on as you were, however, so that's good, but let's not pretend that was what the thread was about.

If you want to be appreciated for posting photos of yourself, perhaps a dog forum isn't the right venue.

Deanna, can we compromise?

My attention was called to this guy by my best friend/trainer. Not a horse I have any personal use for, as I don't do that stuff...but a gorgeous animal known for producing what the QH was supposed to be.
