I've always had a soft spot for things like a King snake and take real good care of them when they are around the house, I've had one all summer nearly five feet long, the dogs don't even bother them, they're used to seeing them that much.
Ok,
Saturday I'm putting my boat in the water and I see a mouse crawling out of the trailer frame and he swims off, then I pull the car up and park it, on my way back to the ramp my wife's ...lol screaming SNAKE !
She let go of the boat and its floating away but I grabbed it and see my five foot long King snake had come out of a cubby and he's heading for the water too and quickly swam off.
I was heart broken...lol
Damned mouse.

Besides eating mice they kill and eat Copperheads.
Maybe an egg once in a while but small price to pay for all the good they do.
