Which opinion are you having trouble with carlin?

Then how do you legislate or force responsibility? And if you can't then what? Unwanted babies. You can't make a person not have sex nor can you make them want a baby they are not ready for. I know you will say then don't have sex and I am telling you that is unrealistic.

BTW, I am still waiting on a pro-lifer to answer - what an adoption costs? And I am not asking you to put a dollar figure on life but instead to give a reasonable dollar amount of what an adoption costs.

Regardless of the number of rapes resulting in pregnancy that do occur, why wouldn't a victim take the steps immediately available to abort as soon as possible?  Late term abortions should never be done where the chance of a viable fetus surviving makes it heinous and yes, murderous. I suppose there is a line seen by most in our society. I hate it when people use religion to be irresponsible or worse, lazy when it comes to preventing unwanted pregnancies.

I know teen pregnancies are down, but far from being non-existant. I have data, too, that most will carry their child to term, rather than terminate. Most will keep the baby. I do support young parenting programs.

Some people want the government to run their lives, sad as that is.

Carlin?
you didn't answer the question.

moons - we both posted at 12:49, so none of those four necessarily, though I haven' yet really looked at them.  In general, we all have opinions, but in order for them to be a part of productive dialogue, they can't stand alone, void of some kind of substantiation.  Yours I have noticed, often do, sometimes at the expense of a valid point.

Your funny carlin,
You talk like a politician making big meaningless circles.
This I have noticed.

Then how do you legislate or force responsibility?

You can't, and shouldn't; that's not government's role.  Life is the teacher, and the most effective one.  Some people will not learn, unfortunately.  Because the issue involves those who cannot speak for themselves, most of us would agree to see their interests, despite the failure of the parents.  The idea that the answer lies in a continued degradation of character enabled by the of killing babies is disturbing, not only because of the killing itself, but because of what is says about us as a people.

Moons - I convinced that you're simply not that slow.

So, capital punishment is wrong?

It is not your body, do with your body as you feel is right keep your beliefs off my body. I would never force a woman to have an abortion no matter what but it isn't my decision if said woman decides to do it. Don't pro-lifers get it?
