Good post @Red Sable

@GSD In order to answer your question so as to avoid any petty reactions from exposing a lack of nuanced and higher abstract reasoning and understanding, let me use the Clinton's as analogy.

Imagine Bill Clinton as God. Everything Bill/God did while in office was what BIll/God wanted as good for the American people, because he loves his American people who voted for him with their trust and belief that he would use his good fatherlike intentions to look out for their best interests. Sometimes Bill/God did some mighty strange things that really didn't look like they would be good for the American people. Bill/God kept to his own course, though, and most of the American people in the end, trusted in Bill/God as he continued on and finished his term as POTUS.

(Now this is the tough part for me, but I'm committed to this analogy, so here goes!)

Before Bill/God left his term, he made a promise that HE would come again, and would send in his place, Hillary/Wife of God as the savior of the American people from all that was evil (presumably-- Republicans). All he asks in return is for your belief that Hillary/Wife of God is his one true Wife, and in fact, the using of a cigar during an act of sex with someone other than Hillary really isn't adultery. See the definition of the word, "is" for further clarity. She is in fact joined to and from him by his very own rib. They are believe it: the One and the Same Bill/Hillary/God!

Now, the believers in Bill/Hillary/God are social creatures at heart, they want to share and spread their belief and faith in the legacy and truth, that is Bill/Hillary/God and that is why The CLINTON Foundations were formed. This is the religion of the Democratic party led by Bill/Hillary/God. Now, this is where your belief really starts to ring true:

I think I have said it here before but what religion boils down to is money, power and control.

Yes, that certainly does happen, no doubt about it.

Holy crap, red!
Your god sounds evil and and your religion/beliefs sound evil...what's the diff between those dark ages heathen nonhumans from the ME slaughtering innocent people in the name of their religion and your evil beliefs ?
Like the guy said; death by poison or death by bullet, its all the same.
No thanks. I prefer the peace, harmony and beauty in my life to that picture you just described.

"man's sin is so bad that before Jesus animals
had to be slaughtered and their blood was needed
to cover MAN's sin." - Red Sable, ^^^

Where the heck did you get THAT idea from, Red ?
Craziest excuse for blood sacrifice I ever heard ...

Maybe in some twisted part of the OT (?), but never
a reason featured in any other 'religious' or nonreligious
context I ever came across before ...

Red, I hate to burst your bubble but these horrible sex acts you speak of have been happening since before Gods bible fantasy. I will try to put the kid gloves on this because I know your feelings are so easily hurt. You are delusional. God/Jesus didn't die for our sins that is beyond preposterous. Murder and mayhem is no different today than it was 2000 years ago there are just more people now. So, naturally things look dire to those who are looking to accept the end of the world mental illness. If God created us in his mold then he knew and must have accepted that we would sin. Sin, lol. WTF. Again, if man is created in his mold then God is also a sinner. Red, you say your eyes were opened and I am telling you instead of being opened your eyes have been closed by brainwashing you into a delusion that never existed.

So, I see the question I asked was totally ignored. And plenty of deflection was posted instead. It was ignored and deflected for a reason and I get it(I actually get more than you think I do). I haven't choosen a thing but plenty of Christians have told me if I am not saved I am going to hell, how the hell do they(you) know this? Yes, where you see bad, I see good. Where you see the end I see the beginning. You have one life and that is it, when you die you go in the ground and are no more. I am sorry you can't accept that and I feel for you, I really do.

Why all the blood, why does everything have to be covered in blood?? That's some twisted shit right there, boy howdy! There's medication and psychiatric help for some people, but geez, you're way to far gone for reality to ever knock on your door again. It terrifies me to think you can be left alone with children!

by beetree on 08 April 2016 - 18:04

Yes@ GSD, your question was ignored because it isn't a serious inquiry. It has been overdone, time and again. Much greater biblical minds than my own have offered you incredible amounts of perspective and thoughtful interpretations of learned scholarship. If you think you can explain yourself better for my benefit, I really wish you would. And the truth is, "Yes", you have made your choice about faith in God. You have none. If I've misunderstood that part, then you are partly to blame for your incompleteness of concept.

Yes, where you see bad, I see good. Where you see the end I see the beginning.

I can't begin to understand where this change happens. Care to elaborate? Or, rather confusion suits you, is my best guess.

You have one life and that is it, when you die you go in the ground and are no more.

There is no proof to your assertion. This corporal body, sure. The soul? Hmm, that is still up for debate, eternally. You can't prove it any more than I can disprove your assertions. We are at a stalemate. So, it then becomes a matter of who has the better odds and if there is anything to be gained with the odds.

I am sorry you can't accept that and I feel for you, I really do.

I don't need to accept your odds, I am sticking with my own, as I have the better chance of all possible outcomes being in my favor. You deny yourself that chance. More often than not, I fail to get a sincere sense of you really caring how I feel about much of anything, especially in one of these conversations. But, if you really do, in your own way— it is a nice thought, so thanks!

What a horrible death cult religion of red, bee, shtal etc. It really should be banned it is that disgusting. They tell children this filth.

by beetree on 08 April 2016 - 20:04

LOL☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻👹Burn, baby burn!

And btw, I have never told children nor have their religious educations included saying what you accuse. You and your comrades just LUV your accusations. You are indignant rabble mouthers.

by joanro on 08 April 2016 - 20:04

@bee, no, bill Clinton loves power and money, not the american people ( 'cept maybe Monica)

It's a death cult full of brainwashing children using fear mongering.

by beetree on 08 April 2016 - 20:04

@Joan I thought I implied that with my pointing out of the Clinton Foundation "religion" link? Did you see who the donors are? The foreign entities are very interesting. The amount of money is staggering, and they really have created their own class of "charitable" foundation!

The donors are buying access and influence, that is hard to ignore, but what is the reason for Saudi Arabia to donate? Amazing and ballsy, for sure!

No getting away from perceived power status, its allure, its taint, its corruptible responsibility. Any time there is a group, there will be a power order. How it is granted, maintained or enforced makes all the difference, I suppose.
