Hi Deana.
Years ago I bought a Connies Dude yearling. My daughter broke him and showed him a bit.
We had to geld him as a 3 year old. He was just to mean to be around him.
Connies dude was the 1974 Quarter Rama halter champion,he was out of Bondies Dude, both Paliminos
Our yearling grew into the old style quarter horse 15 HANDS 1200 LBS.
I remember one day my wife and daughter were riding in the arena and my daughters horse was about to pas my wifes horse.when he lashed
out and grabbed my wifes by the back of the coat and threw her of her horse, then he started attacking my wifes gelding.
Needles to say he was gone the next day. His name was Last Tuff Dude. He also was a palimino.
We had 2 beautiful western saddles,a Billy Cook, and a Circle y both were stolen.
Last year we sold all the show tack bridles reigns, breast plates, and a six hundred dollar show halter.
It all had been put away out of mind and forgot about.
I dont believe the horse industry is doing well anymore.
Have a nice weekend
Its brutally cold here the last couple of days

Gouda, I didn't know all this about you :) I would have loved growing up in a horse loving family like you have given to your daughter :) and share with your wife,,,I am not a big fan of halter horses ,,,I am all about that slow western jog !!! Lol I do like showmanship! It must be my need for all the bling !! I didn't train mine they came trained and ready !! Lol I respect anyone brave enough to break and train horses,,,
Here is Black my 20 yrs old,,He is a cute little roper :) We can take him from the stall , clean him up , and throw a little child on him and be in the ribbons !! He is worth his weight in Gold !!

A few years ago, I saw this GSD pop up in the classifieds as a stud and I thought- WOWZA! A friend owns one of Rasto's daughters and she is also really beautiful.
I recently took a photo of Bosco that I really love- some day, I'll get a photo that captures what he's really like. :)

All of sudden I remembered this!
It was Christmas time, I was in grade school still, and my folks took us all into the city. NYC, to window shop mostly, and see the sights at Rockefeller center. I had money in my pocket, a gift from my godfather who I really didn't know well, except by the never failing celebratory card that always showed up, enclosing cash.
I remember seeing something like this in an art shop window ... a 60 color set of nupastels. I fell in love with all the colors! The purity of them all. I asked my folks if I could buy them with my present money. Well, yes I did buy them! I still love looking at pure pigments. I know, weird! LOL
