Moons, yea we don't take the kids real trick or treating, but we have the rounds to family and friend's houses.. Just so the kids get to dress up and get to experience a little of running wild, eating junk late into the night with a pack of rowdy kids LOL.. We buy a bunch of candy, make a bunch gross snack food, have a big bon fire and the kids run crazy in the yard and woods scaring each other.. That's our Satanic ritual.. I'm sure my husband would be down with sacrificing my goats, but I'm kind of fond of those dumb things..

Moons, Please take off the gloves I can take it!!...I did not say that this traumatized my daughter,,lol,,On the contrary, she could have cared less about it either way!!..She falls asleep in my bed all the time just chatting and catching up on the days affairs,,She is my thrill seeker of the three,,It was an experience she probably won't forget, but she took it for what it was,,,Foolishness ,,,,,

I've tried to be polite, being rude doesn't make any real point.
Lets just say I will not try to spare anyones feelings anymore.
I will however leave your children out of it from now on, there's no need for that.

Moons,,,No, I did not let my children watch the news as young children,,There was absolutely no reason for them to know about certain things before their little minds matured ...They had a sweet childhood!!,,as it should be ...
The reality of life is something that every child has to except, but only when they are mature enough to deal with it or it can harm them IMO,,
Yes, they can tell the difference between reality and fantasy,,lol as best as teens can..They still think money grows on trees...LMBO!!...

I've never worried about protecting my children from myths or board games, I have protected my children from people like gouda with facts and education.
