Somebody once told me the world is going to roll me, I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed.
"Walkin' on the Sun" is the debut single by American rock bandSmash Mouth, from the album Fush Yu Mang. Released in 1997, it was Smash Mouth's first major single, reaching #1 on the BillboardModern Rock Tracks chart and #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplaysingles chart.[1]
The song presents an ironic and implied Generation X view of thehippie movement, extolling ideals of peace and love, and the subsequent conversion of those ideals into simple commercial fads, "Because fashion is smashin' the true meaning of it", and references the suburbanization of modern America and the 1992 Los Angeles riots when the song was written. "Weird Al" Yankovic included the chorus of the song in his "Polka Power!" polka medley for hisRunning with Scissors album.

It ain't no joke I'd like to buy the world a toke
And teach the world to sing in perfect harmony
And teach the world to snuff the fires and the liars
Hey I know it's just a song but it's spice for the recipe
This is a love attack
I know it went out but it's back
It's just like any fad
It retracts before impact
And just like fashion it's a passion for the with it and hip
If you got the goods they'll come and buy it
Just to stay in the clique

The Wallflowers - One Headlight
"One Headlight" is a song performed by American band The Wallflowers. The song was written by lead singer Jakob Dylan, and produced by T-Bone Burnett. It was released on February 24, 1997. In 2000, the song was listed at #58 on Rolling Stone and MTVs list of "100 Greatest Pop Songs of All Time".[1]
According to some, the lyrics tell a fragmentary story about a former friend and her death, and the singer's emotions in the aftermath.
However, Jakob Dylan, the lead singer and songwriter said that the song is about "the death of ideas"[2] and that the many metaphors and images in the lyrics were not meant to be taken literally. Dylan explains that he and the band had very little support when they were putting together the record, hence the shout-out "c'mon try a little." The last two lines of the chorus "we can drive it home / with one headlight" are a reference to how the band were able to get through with their ideas despite being hindered (i.e. with one headlight) by the lack of support.

Shpongle is an English psychedelic music project formed in 1996. The group includes Simon Posford (aka Hallucinogen) and Raja Ram (one third of The Infinity Project). The duo are considered to be one of the progenitors of the psybient genre - a genre combining world music withpsychedelic trance and ambient. Their musical style combines traditional music from all over the globe and vocals with contemporary western synthesizer-based psychedelic music. When asked to describe Shpongle's music, Posford has responded that it is "like nothing you've ever heard before."[1]

What I really want, but can't find any where yet, from the coming Lazaretto Album is his song, "Alone in My Home". It is doing a first play on iTunes radio, now. I guess I will have to be patient until the 10th, when it is released.
