I think I have said it here before but what religion boils down to is money, power and control.

That may very well be with 'religion'. After all, it was the religious that crucified God himself!

I don't know what you've been through in your life, obviously some terrible hurt, for your perception of God is all screwy. Same with you Vk. We all come from different walks of life.
At one time, I also didn't believe in God, but I'm so thankful my eyes were opened. God is SO HOLY, that if man stands before him, man will die. Man's sin is SO bad that before Jesus, animals had to be slaughtered and their blood was needed to cover MAN's sin. Then God himself came to earth and shed His blood to cover our sins once and for all.
Now all we need to do is accept that gift, a gift that if accepted we can have fellowship with an almighty God, the creator of all. We all have sin. The Ten Commandments show us we all sin, and fall short. Good works will not get us to Heaven. We can't be good enough, which is why God had to come and make a way for us. Nothing speaks of Love more than that. You know suffering? Well so did God. He was hated and beaten yet He was sinless. Put on a wooden cross/tree and given vinegar when He asked for water. He could have called ten thousand angels to destroy the world and the men that treated Him so cruelly, but He chose to die for you and me. You can't say that isn't Love.

This world has gone Godless. Pedophila, incest, all sexual acts are becoming the norm. Lawlessness is abounding. You think it's bad now? Just wait.
Heaven is real, HELL is real. If you turn your back on God's outstretched hand (Jesus Christ) you will go where you've chosen to go. He isn't going to send you there. You've chosen a place in eternity without God, and your wish will be granted. He pushes Himself on no one. There can be no sin in Heaven, and ONLY Jesus's blood will cover yours and mine. Hell is for those who want nothing to do with Jesus. He is the Truth the WAY and the LIFE. Literally. The choice is totally yours as to where you will spend eternity.

Did I just read that?? What a load of tripe, can't believe in this day and age people actually follow this nonsense. Thank goodness I'm a heathen, happy, great family, great life which is full, surrounded by love, and everything I could want. Where I go when I die matters not, I won't know....I'm dead, in the ground and worm fodder, and I'm 100% okay with that!!
