In 50% of the litters I have produced, seen, or bought from the best puppy was a female puppy when they grew to adulthood .. maybe we need title IX for the GSD if the breed is to advance and/or improve.  Great females make great puppies and great males make a lot of puppies.

Excellent post Bubba and absolutely true.

We have 2 nice showline males in our club.  One is a bit of a monster and would bite you for real.  One was bred here in the States, the monster is German bred i believe.  Nice showlines are still around, but i admit i have seen many not so great ones.

Congrats to Cheryl and i have heard Bullinger produces nice dogs.

I have praised Bullinger Shepherds many times on this forum and her breeding program....of course I don't expect some people to believe that because it would distort their image of me hating SL instead of dogs lacking complete GS temperament. Am not surprised that motherline comes from this kennel as this breeder has always placed working ability high on their priority list instead of lip service!
Congratulations! I have also praised SL that I have seen from Hun, Czech, countries. They also value working traits in their SL. Plenty of great dogs outside of the Mecca, T Floyd also placed well in Nationals with SL female....she was from East European breeding. It can be done when the focus is on the right things!

Outstanding accomplishments for the Nance's and Bullinger!!! I am glad they decided on AM bred dogs rather than imports. This is what we need more of......

Blitzen:  The Bullinger kennels are located in Canada.  We are speaking about North America and not AM bred GSDs.

I got the pleasure to watch Cheryl and Chloe do the B and C phase on Saturday. A very nice routine it was and a blast to watch the harmony between dog and owner. It really showed on the field.

Cheryl and Chloe had a nice trial finishing 275 at an exceedingly well run event hosted by the Way out West club.  Pretty proud of them as they like all of the competitors have worked very hard.

But, then again I AM a bit biased.....

:)

And, thank you Randy for the nice mention.
