ggturner, I think you'll have to find a special project or hobby for YOU to do or both you and your husband to do together.

Deanna, I've been homeschooling for 16 years now and have several more years to go. When my youngest leaves for college or moves out, I think initially it will be hard to get used to a quiet house. ;-)

Okay so I moved my daughter into college on Saturday.  I was crying before we even left our home town on the way to her school!  Sunday we move our son back to his university for his senior year.  UGH!  The good news is that my daughter seems to really like her room-mate and is making new friends.  Also, school just started for me so I'm really busy starting up a new school year with my students.

My son is temporarily home while they get his apartment ready.  It is nice to have him home, even for a little while.  Going to miss him when he moves back into his place.........dogs are happy he is home as well.

Makes me appreciate my time with my son all the more because it is not a daily thing......

My son is in his senior year now.  It hit me when he was 16 that in 2 yrs I would have nobody to play with so I had another baby. LOL works great because by the time I start getting empty nest syndrome with her I can will have grandkids and those I can give back. Although I have warned my son as punishment for all those sleepless nights he caused when I do babysit the grandkids, an hour before he picks them up I'm giving them a bunch of Red Bull and cotton candy!!
