Duke 1965 - I been thinking about the 2 words you mentioned earlier,
KNPV Icons. Those 2 words just seem to create a literal punch in the
cerebral cortex. You know it's like the GSD/Mali/DS speeding down the
tree-lined chute and leaping and full-mouthing the agitator/helper in the
scapula region with such tremendous force that it literally rocks and
writhes our valuable assistant to the ground.
I sure hope you can report back to impart and impress upon us on the
meeting of these foundational KNPV Icons.
Good Evening.

In KNPV are a only a few GSD Studs with proven KNPV bloodlines some van,t Heutske Inox ,Haus Ming,Gideon Gardefense and Ibor Bllitse Dune
many years ago over Tiekerhook
Some good KNPV linebreeding is coming over Nick Heiligenbosch,Rakker, Gento Haus Larwin, Greif zum Lahntal.Lord Gleisdreieck
Yossy v/d Dollenwiese,Tyson v/d Schiffslage. Asko v/d Luttter.Pike v/d Schafbachmuhler this are strong bloodlines..
A BIG difference between malinois and GSD are the proven offspring in a litter I know 100,s proven malinois/Dutchies males an females in KNPV
but I know maybe 3 or 4 proven GSD with proven offspring in KNPV generation to generation.
General malinois/dutchies showing harder, more fight,,healtier, more agression in bitework, more drives, easier to train. more sharpness, faster, more courage ,for policework GSD only 8 years it,s over
Malinois/dutchies 10 or 11 years
Also it matters where you train an who is the handler a better handler can make more of less GSD a worse handler can ruin a good GSD.(or Malinois)
There is more change to have a healthy and good dog from a malinois/dutchie litter than a GSD litter.
The best people in KNPV for info about dogs are the helpers !

BlackMalinois (et al) - I am so glad you decided to post on this subject - Welcome.
The pedigree lineage you mentioned above is such valuable information for
breeders and consumers alike for prospective, potential outcomes.
The PROVEN aspect in any given mating is one of the best indicators to show
for this. Why is that the Mali proofs so much more times over than a GSD?
It could be a rhetorical question, but if it is so, so many breeders would know the
magical combination? So, it is not that magical! Lets be practical - Give us your
ideal in what you look for in a successful mating? You have alluded to several
here: pedigree lineage, effective handlers, 3-4 years more into service (why is that?),
and health. This will be the first time someone actually posted and mentioned health.
You mentioned helpers! I know one when I see one out on the field. Do we have any
helpers on board? I sure hope you can assist us with disseminating, effective
information.
Do you think Mali's (DS/MB) are the preferred breed over GSD? I think I know the
answer to this, but it seems to darn easy to just say YES. I think we may have a
lack of breeders who rely on KNPV standards and consumers who effectively train
and rely on the GSD. However if that is true, why do we have so many Mali breeders
who are successful? It is a great thing for Mali breeders! Way to go, yeah!
You (I) would hate to project down the road that the working (KNPV) GSD is going
down the watering hole to stay.

I come back later about this subject
I,m not talking about the pedigreed FCI mali or dutchies but the cross X mali/dutchies not pedigreed.
One more important subject is the KNPV people selected for many years the perfect dog for this heavy mental and physical program
and most of this dogs are the the not pedigreed Malinois/Dutchie ,before there
were many bouviers, rottweiler german shepherd in KNPV they are all gone only a few GSD don,t forget there are a lot GSD breeders in
the world many many more than the Malinois/Dutchies .KNPV people say full pedigreed dogs making he breed not stronger but weaker
too much line breeding , inbreeding too much selecting for expression, KNPV people selecting only the best working capacity. also
in the earlier days they crossed many different breeds together so there is more genetic pool.
I think the KNPV handlers / breeders who are training with the GSD know exacly witch bloodlines have some impulse for this program

BlackMalinois - Another gem, thanks. We will be waiting.
KNPV is the epitome of hardness, courage and temperament
stability of the breed.
Any more Mali people contributing on this topic?
(I agree on too many GSD breeders worldwide. But it will be
like opening Pandora's box if we go there. I can just imagine
the trophy stacked specimen, who angles too much to the west
and east of his stature, owner coming on and saying, "My red
and black, long-haired (blue-eyed?), will kick your ..." You get
my gist. So, let us not go there.)
I guess this is the main reason why we have specific topics on
here. The MODS don't have to work too hard to control the tempo.

I am not sure what you mean, "by
I know where it is going" We have been
talking and staying on topic for how many
pages? Except for a few detractors, but you
will always have those.
Thanks anyway Duke 1965. Good luck to
you and your kennel.
