So, what exactly would our brain be differentiating between if we created life?

I think this is an excellent question! An important question!  Well, almost because of the second part...."if we created life?"  I think you are putting the form cart before the function horse with that one! I could possibly answer that question if you want to keep it to the first part? Or re-explain it to me?

We are supposedly, or I am anyway, lol, talking about the facts of science, the possibilities of philosophy and the morality of religion having some kind of common ground. And that when it is found it will be perfect and identifiable and easy for any one with that capability, hardwired, tight.

Bee,

I will rephrase my question again. What exactly would the brain be differentiating between if biologist's are able to recreate the condition's and demonstrate how life began on this planet?

I don't see how there can be any kind of moral dilemma based on religious or philosophical grounds in regards to science. Can you elaborate on this?

by beetree on 29 March 2013 - 19:03

Well, that is good a question; What would a BIOLOGIST want a brain to differentiate from, from where it IS?  Probably nothing.

I really think we need to talk about "Inertia" at this point! Anybody have any thoughts on why I think it is important?

Yes I can, and I will, but first I want to talk about Inertia!

I'm all done with the wild goose chase. This is a page out of Shtal's book. Chapter 1 Tail Chasing. Thanks for the conversation Bee, it was interesting for a bit.

by beetree on 29 March 2013 - 19:03

Well, I thought you were playing nice. Too bad. I really thought we had some common ground for a second.

I am not into tail chasing, but you quit!  What was not satisfactory, lol? Because, really Shtal's book isn't anything I've ever seen or believed in! I haven't ever read the Bible, I tried once, total fail, and I like to finish books I start!  I guess your nature was to string me along and play a game until you could find a proper insult? I have read the concurrent thread, and that would be typical of your attitude towards me.

Oh, well, that is something I can handle.

There is a field of study called "Bioethics", and it is a field of study in major Universities.

I really don't understand why mentioning a scientific fact, or a description of "Inertia" is cause for abandonment of a topic?

by beetree on 29 March 2013 - 20:03

It is interesting that the phrase "tail chasing" was used because, if I take a moment, and think beyond the insult, it is and always has been a circular logic.

I am a bit sad, there is no one left to go there with me, even if I pretty much detested that person I was going there with, it sure was nice to have company for a time.

Well enough of me getting DISSED!   LOL..... How about any of you... loving this video...?  How about you give a review what is so great....in your own words? I mean try to make it irresistible to someone who desires the answers to life, with some snippet or example of it's greatest wisdom within its three hours! LOL  There must be some revelation  contained therein, that will deserve a devotion..... to my garbage of thought that has been expelled!

" I mean make it irresistible to someone who desires the answers to life."  The answers to life are different for everyone, as is the meaning of life.  There are as many answers to those questions as there are living humans.  Those answers can only be found within, that's the whole point.
