Nor the fact that if the evidence is so overwhelming then why not read him his Miranda rights and give him the right to a lawyer and the right to remain silent? Already stated morphine has a very strong effect on most people so he might have talked any ways..

I doubt at this point if he is recieving Morphine.
And I've never know a pain killer to have that effect on a person.

Moons,
He is receiving some form of pain meds. And yes morphine will cause worse effects on people. Look it up. You don't have a gunshot to the throat and tongue without needing pain meds. Hell I had a chest tube and needed pain meds when I first came out of ICU. I was also sedated so I didn't pull my vent tube out. Not sure if he is on a vent or not but a gunshot wound to the throat and tongue has to hurt bad.

I've had Morphine and it is not usually used for long at all.
There are other meds they would use in my opinion but I'm not his doctor.
Yeah if you have enough of it you'll go in and out but that's a lot.
Regardless this will be another circus so bring out the clowns.

I had it for the first week. Man it messed me up pretty bad. I must have had enough, lol.

I would want him gone if he is convicted.
But even if he gets the death penalty it will take forever.
All the time tax payers feed and house him, give him all the creature comforts.
The only price for taking a life is a life, when it's done on purpose.
But not before one has his day in court.
And as we all know money makes a big difference in court.
