Boxing Day is a bank or public holiday that occurs on December 26, or the first or second weekday after Christmas Day, depending on national or regional laws. It is observed in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Great Britain, some other Commonwealth nations, and across most of the Province of Ulster in the north of Ireland.
Only the province of Ontario has made it a statutory Holiday where it is a paid holiday. (this is where I live Moons :) )

That explains everything.
Thanks.

I think maybe it has something to do with all the boxes left over from Christmas cleanup, originally, but I could be wrong. It is a big sale day here at most stores where Christmas inventory is cleared out.
