Actually GSDadmin, Carlin is correct, you show just as much disrespect in asserting ultimate knowledge as Shtal does.  When it comes to the unknown/unknowable, none of our opinions can be put forward as fact, that's why they're opinions, by definition.  I understand that you see evidence that is contrary, but that's a different subject.

Actually GSDadmin, Carlin is correct, you show just as much disrespect

TBH, admin's opinion of my faith is fairly close in significance to something my dog s*** in the yard this morning, however, I imagine there are those Christians who take as much offense to having their faith referred to as a fairy tale (which he seems to be in the habit of doing) as some Muslims do to being called terrorists. That would seem to consitute quite an example of the intolerance and stereotyping which some enjoy accusing "all" Christians of.

I am just parroting Shtal to the other extreme but you accept his extremism and slam mine and me whenever possible, love the hypocrisy as per usual.

but you accept his extremism

Not only do I not accept it, I am actually in the habit of addressing it in my posts. I think you should either go back and read more carefully, or ask someone.

I am just parroting Shtal

Of course you are.

Travels,

I assume you actually believe what you write? I feel I must clarify at least one thing in all that horse hockey you have in your head, per your statements concerning myself.

Namely, I have never endeavored to seek your advice on how to live, or enrich my life. You can not imagine what would be those qualifications, so it is safe to say I never will require that of you. Oh, yeah, what was your degree in, again? I must have missed that, if you said it already?

Parsing conversations bore me. That will keep me from even trying, for a time.

beetree, where did I say you were seeking my advice on anything or, more importantly, where did I give you any?  Please quote me.

Carlin you are making stuff up if you say i am trying to disprove god.... hell no, that is the equivalent of asking you to disprove it when i say there is an invisible pink unicorn sitting on yr shoulder right now.

invisible pink unicorns/god/santa Claus ...... none can be proven not to exist.

Travels, your posts are just very, so preachy. I will take a pass on your revelations, At the same time, I am delighted they work for yourself in such satisfying ways.

Now, do you have any degrees? Can not seem to recall as what that might be? If any, really!

Carlin

VK - Since you do in fact lack sufficient epistemic access, I would suggest then that you stop running your head into that proverbial brick wall as your record and behavior lay in contrast to your spoken intent.
