Bee,
your such an idiot.

by beetree on 23 May 2013 - 16:05

No you are just ignorant, it seems, making up definitions to suit yourself.

Poor Bee,
you can't make a valid point so you pick.
It changes nothing.

Sorry for calling you an idiot, it was only your post that was idiotic.
But then again, you do have a history of idiotic comments.

You've burnt your bridges my dear, there is no going back now.

"I do not consider a baby to be part of its mother's body?"   Correct.  Attached to, but not part of her body.  And in fact so different from the mother in some cases, the difference in blood types can be fatal.  A tumor would be part of her body with all the same genetic makeup.  A moth larvae on a leaf isn't part of the leaf.  Sorry, semantics."

"And in most states suicide is illegal?  Where is it legal?"  Assisted suicide is legal in 3 states (Washington State, Oregon and now Vermont.)   So....

Are you a man or a woman Micaho?  If it made any difference I would tell you.

"Why would the Supreme Court make a ruling to protect a womans rights had none?"  Who the heck said they had none???

"Some expenditures are more socially relevant than others?  Yeah right."   A lot of people feel that money spent on child welfare programs such as WIC, Headstart, foster care and adoption is a better use of taxpayer funds than, say, war or free phones.

"you are looking at pretty close to $50,000 dollars to do most legit adoptions,"  Again, you are talking about private adoptions and they are expensive because not many babies are available.  I am sure that when a foster family adopts one of their placements, they are not expected to come up with any such amounts, maybe a few legal fees.  That's why I said no single cost covers all situations.

"How many more babies would be victims of sexual and physical abuse by boyfriends and mothers who didn't want them in the first place if abortions are outlawed?"  Sorry, abortions were outlawed before 1973 and child abuse and neglect has increased since abortions were legalized.  Yes, there are other reasons for the increase, but the premise isn't valid.

Now I have a news flash for you.  There is a big difference between having an opinion on an issue, and judging anyone else or telling others what to do.  If you don't understand that, then you have the problem.  Just read your posts.  You are doing the judging. You are the ones telling others how to think and live.  Your senseless criticism of conservative (not religious) values is a waste of time.

If you are conservative in your opinions then live your life according to your values, but why must you force them on everyone else?

by beetree on 23 May 2013 - 17:05

Lol ... Burning bridges would be your thing! You are grasping at straws.

Beetree, birth control is fallible.  According to the drug companies it is only 94% effective.  Many doctors, pharmasists, RNs, and physician's assistants are not aware of the long list that can render the pill, patch, ring, time released subQ, and injectable birth control ineffective.  Antibiotics such as tetracycline (used to be prescribed to increase women's fertility), cephalosporins, among the many other antibiotics, antiseizure medications such as phenobarbital among others, Topamax used in migraine prevention, neuropathy medications, antidepressants, anti-fungals, diabetes medications, anxiety medication, anti-emetics, HIV medications, some of the medications used to treat chronic pain such as Cymbalta, and some soy based supplements.  So you see, failing birth control is not as rare as you may think and I am not sure what you've experienced to make you feel there is a high number of women who use pregnancy to trap a man or "claim" birth control failed (not intended as a slam in any way).  I have known quite a few firefighters and law enforcement officers that were married and not ready to start families who had a birth control failure.  The sad thing is the longer a firefighter works the job, the higher the incidence of infertility in both men and women, something to do with the combination of extreme physical exertion, high heat, sleep deprivation, and stress.  I know I was not able to get pregnant after the birth of my son and I had been working as a firefighter for many years by then, miscarried x3.

Micaho

Did you get the number off that 747 that just flew over your head? whoosh.  lmfao.

Who started the wars? Who's idea were the free phones? When did the free phones start?

Foster placements tend to be babies with health and developmental problems, just curious what rock you crawled out from under. I have relatives who adopted and are foster parents.

Are you a man or a woman Micaho?  If it made any difference I would tell you.  Typical.

Leafs and larvae, wow.

For someone who slams others about intelligent conversation you leave a lot to be desired.

I heard the parasite thing once before.

Mindhunt,

You said,

....and I am not sure what you've experienced to make you feel there is a high number of women who use pregnancy to trap a man or "claim" birth control failed (not intended as a slam in any way).

I will attempt to explain my difficulty believing statistics being mentioned on this thread, regarding women who find themselves seeking services at an abortion clinic. I believe they are inaccurate because they include many who are just plain lying. I am not judging why they are lying, just that well, when it comes to this, the motivation is there. The specific of why, "man trapping" is just a very good guess based on my having lived for a while.

Consider this:

http://www.statisticbrain.com/lying-statistics/

I was searching and found this to support my view, it is not such a far-fetched idea, using pregnancy for entrapment. See this:

Women lie about being on birth control. Women claim their antibiotics rendered their birth control pills ineffective. Women lie about their menstrual cycles. Women lie and claim they’re infertile. They get ex-boyfriends drunk and lure them into bed. They collect sperm from used condoms. They get pregnant by another man and lie about the paternity. This is just wrong. It is wrong. It is wrong. It is wrong and it’s just a glimpse of the hell that is sure to follow.
