Has anyone had any dealings with this disease? My friend's 8 year old shepherd was recently diagnosed with this after spiking a high fever of 106 and becoming covered with scabs all over her body. Her toenails are now sloughing off. The vet says she will have to be on steroids all her life. Any opinions?
